Visiting Hilton Head would be incomplete if you miss out on the stunning museums of this place. This post will tell you all about the 4 museums that you must visit in Hilton Head Island. These museums are the center of attraction for the Sea Island and receive countless tourists throughout the year.

We've compiled a helpful guide to Gullah Museum of Hilton Head Island top four museums to help you get the most out of your upcoming holiday.

THE SANDBOX CHILDREN’S MUSEUM

Another one of Hilton Head's top museums is The SandBox Children’s museum. This fantastic children's museum is the ideal spot to let your little ones play to their hearts' content because it is intended for toddlers and elementary school-aged children. Children visitors will love playing dress-up in the grocery store, "flying" a realistic-looking aeroplane, and making art in the craft section. You should be aware that the place is so entertaining that the kids will not want to leave.

COASTAL DISCOVERY MUSEUM

The Coastal Discovery Museum, is a 68-acre Lowcountry-themed entertainment complex situated on the Honey Horn property. It offers a wonderful combination of outdoor and indoor Lowcountry-themed attractions. The stunning grounds offer the opportunity to view a mile-long seashell nature trail, a lovely butterfly enclosure, three breathtaking gardens, and a stable full of Marsh Tacky horses as you stroll around them (which are native to South Carolina). Visitors can view the museum's indoor, year-round exhibits at the Discovery House, which also houses a station for identifying seashells and a section with Native American pottery. These exhibits include interviews with some of the island's most prominent individuals.

HARBOUR TOWN LIGHTHOUSE MUSEUM

The Harbour Town Lighthouse, which serves the yacht basin on the island, is Hilton Head's most recognizable feature. Without ascending the lighthouse and admiring the magnificent views of the bay and the surrounding golf course, no holiday is complete. There is a fantastic museum located within the lighthouse where visitors can find more about the history of the building and Hilton Head Island.

THE GULLAH MUSEUM OF HILTON HEAD ISLAND
