Hilton Head Island is a vacation paradise with a very small expanse of land. The place is a pure paradise for the ones who love exploring the nature’s beauty. It is only 12 miles long and 5 miles wide along with 60 miles of bike within the area. Let’s look at some of the amazing things you can do and places to visit.

Things To Do On Hilton Head Island

1. Visit Daufuskie Island

If you are confused about making plans in Hilton during the weekend, there is just one place you must visit. Daufuskie Island.

It attracts a large number of people each year and is almost like a vacation hideaway inside a getaway. Only accessible by ferry, which travels from Harbour Town and west into the Calibogue Sound, the retreat is home to around 300 permanent residents. In terms of beauty and surroundings, the land of Daufuskie is so isolated from the rest of the region that it is difficult to imagine it is one of the most well-liked tourist destinations in Hilton Head.

2. Explore Coastal Discovery Museum

Children and adults of all ages will enjoy the great educational facility known as the Coastal Discovery Museum. It should be on the bucket list of every wildlife enthusiast visiting Hilton Head, South Carolina.

It is a non-profit, neighborhood-focused organization with 68 acres of property that was founded in 1985 to educate visitors and residents about the culture and natural history of the Lowcountry region.

3. Sea Pine Forest resort

The Sea Pines Forest Preserve, one of Hilton Head's premier tourist destinations, is a preferred destination for those who like the outdoors. It was established in 1959 and serves as an important natural reserve for many rare and ancient treasures from Mother Nature.

Coligny Beach Park is pretty close by, but it seems like a faraway place! A band of local nomads found the Sea Pines Forest Preserve some 4,000 years ago.

4. Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge

Another protected reserve, founded by the Pinckney family in question, is the Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge.

Because it contains approximately 115 separate historic sites, some of which have evidence of human occupancy reaching back more than 10,000 years, the Pinckney National Wildlife Refuge is truly regarded as one of South Carolina's most important sites of archaeology.

5. Mitchelville Beach

A more sedate choice for free activities in Hilton Head, South Carolina, is Mitchelville Beach. It is located in the northeastern part of the region and is also known as Fish Haul Beach Park.

For calm leisure and thought, the seaside offers amazing serenity. Less accessibility and greater rustic appeal result from decreased visitor numbers. Low tide reveals tidal pools and salt marshes, while unpaved walkways are uneven and coastal vegetation sprawls towards the coastline.
